Chief Jim Schwartz continues to make positive changes in the Marshall Police Department. We were all pleased to learn of the promotion of Scott McDonald from sergeant to lieutenant, and it is a well deserved promotion that will benefit his agency and our community.Lt. McDonald and I recently spoke again on Mary's case, and we know that his agency is committed to bringing Mary home and closing the investigation. The person/s responsible for the disappearance and murder of Mary Denise Lands will be held accountable in a court of law.
